Mini League: Game Day 1 - YS Oon vs Dave


The first match of the league saw YS Oon commanding the British fleet against USN forces lead by Dave.

Dice roll off commenced and pitch battle chosen, Dave being the defender while YS Oon on the attack.

Deployment, Air Strike & Submarine Attack

USN Formation
Dave's setup of 1 Crusier and 3 Sim Class DD played behind a landmass. Other armaments include 2 submarine attacks and 37 planes (torpedo bombers and dive bombers).

British Formation
YS Oon deployed 9DD, 6 CL and 3 CA (placed in between 2 landmasses). No submarine and air strike present.

Overview
USN submarine attack were called-in and the British were unable to detect them. A total of 12 submarine strikes and only 1 non-penetration hit onto HMS Cumberland recorded.

British AA gun managed to knock-down 7 USN planes as they approaches the fleet. The resulting air raids saw HMS Scorpion and HMS Eskimo destroyed. HMS Liverpool, HMS Gloucester and HMS Cumberland suffered hits, but not enough to sink them.

Turn 1

USN declares 2nd submarine attack; a non-penetration hit recorded on HMS Gloucester.

British movement
The British steamed ahead at half speed due to evasive maneuver taken during the 2nd submarine attack. USN decides not to move while at comfort behind landmass.

Turn 2


British continued their movement towards USN position, still lying behind the landmass.

Turn 3

Final Engagement
As the British fleet approaches, USN ships sailed out and met them at a clearing.

Resulting battle saw 2 Sim Class DD destroyed, while the remaining DD fires it torpedoes and penetrated HMS Reindeer. No casualties recorded on British fleet from this engagement.

Turn 4

USN ordered all their remaining ship to retreat from battle.

A win for The British fleet.

All in, this match completed in 30 minutes.
