Overview With Castor Showing The 'V'

Turn 1
Turn 1 Overview. German on the left while IJN on the right
The German pressed forward with majority of its ships heading towards IJN's undefended left flank.

Timely shots caused rudder damage to CA Mogami. No casualties were reported.

Turn 2

Rudder damaged on CA Mogami causes it to collide with the landmass
German fleet divided its fleet into 2 groups, maneuvering both flanks, pressing forward to IJN's location.

IJN maintained its position with its cruisers holding and sweeping between the flanks and remained its 2 groups of DDs at the landmasses.

Sustained rudder damage to CA Mogami, causes it to collide with the landmass and will remain there till its destruction.

Turn 3

Sitting out in the open and taking damage from the previous 2 turns, CA Mogami was soon destroyed. German torpedo boat, TB LePhew 2 was also destroyed in this turn

Turn 4

Torpedoes marked with white pointy thing
The IJN right flank formation consists of a CL and 3 DDs managed to break thru the German formation and had maneuvered within range to launch its torpedoes.

Subsequent engagement saw the destruction of 5 German ships; all torpedo boats, while IJN suffered the lost of DD Hatsuzuki.

5 torpedoes were launched this turn; 2 by IJN while 3 from German, resulted to the sinking of CA Anna.

Turn 5

Lone IJN DD lingering at German center formation
This turn saw a second wave of IJN CL and 3 DDs formation heading towards IJN's right flank, while most of the German fleet took shelter behind the landmasses and having its heavier warships sweeping the center. A lone IJN DD maneuvered towards the German center formation.

Before meeting its demise, CL Noshiro managed to fire its torpedo, to no avail. Other casualty resulting from the gun battle includes Schuberg.

Turn 6

Lingering DD still there~~!!
During this turn saw heavy casualties on the IJN side; CL Agano, DD Akitsuki and DD Natsuzuki (the lingering lone DD within the German center formation).

An IJN torpedo managed to penetrate the hull of BB Ryan causing major flooding.

Turn 7

As IJN ships one after another meeting their demise and continued pressure from the surviving German ships, still aplenty, both CA Mikuma and CA Maya moved further away.

Both DD Hanasuki and DD Harusuki were destroyed by German gun fire.

Turn 8

German flagship, BB Ryan, located at far right
German torpedo boats had passed the central landmasses at IJN's right flank. It's bigger warships are now aligned at the center of the battle area. Their flagship, crippled, retreated behind the German lines.

However, timely shots from CA Mikuma managed to sink BB Ryan from the distance, forcing the Germans to retreat from battle.

An IJN win at a great cost.
