Mini League: Game Day 5 - Dave vs Castor



Game Day 5 saw the German commanded by Castor going up against the USN forces lead by Dave.

With the dice roll off underway, pitch battle was chosen and having Castor as the attacker.

This game was played at Dave's place.

Overview

Deployment, Air Strike & Submarine Attack

Taking advantage as an attacker, Castor deployed his warships way up front. On the other hand, Dave deployed a more defensive stand, behind the cover of landmass. 

USN Deployment
German Deployment

Having deployed, the USN called in their submarine attacks. However, none managed to hit their targets.

Air strikes were soon called in with the German having able to knock down 4 torpedo bombers. The resulting dive bombers' air strike saw penetrating hit to CL Iceberg while the USN torpedo bombers managed to destroy TP Daspoo1. 

Turn 1 

German fleet advances while USN remains in cover and having CA Portland launching it's recon plane.

Turn 2

This turn saw USN calling in their 2nd submarine attacks; sinking CL Spielberg and causing a non-penetration hit to BB Rianna.

Turn 3
Turn 3 having the German warships advanced to the USN
As the German fleet closes in, USN decides to engaged them with having its 3 DDs coming out of cover and launching its torpedoes.

Resulting gun battle saw all 3 USN DDs sank to the bottom of the sea while German suffered the lost of TP LePhew 1 and TP LePhew 4.

USN torpedoes managed to hit CL Schuberg and sinking it in the process.

Turn 4

Having all its 3 DDs sunk, CA Portland was soon surrounded by German fleet.

Ferocious CA Conda guns tore into CA Portland and taking no survivors; sealing a Kriegsmarine victory
